Child care centers and licensed homes operating as Emergency Child Care (ECC) providers and participating in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) are eligible to receive a 30% add-on to their approved daily rate for each child of an essential worker attending their care in the month of April 2020. To receive the enhanced rate, eligible providers must report information on the children of essential workers they are currently caring for by no later than April 28, 2020. Late reporting may cause a delay in receiving payments at the enhanced rate.
Providers may complete this reporting by either:
- Submitting an application for an Emergency Child Care Stipend to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have already submitted a stipend application, and all the children of essential workers attending your child care were listed on the application, you do not need to do anything else to receive the 30% add-on to your approved daily rate.
- Completing the Child Care Provider Essential Worker Report on the DHS website: www.dhs.illinois.gov/ccew. Please be sure to read the instructions on the website carefully before submitting the Child Care Provider Essential Worker Report.
If you are unable to complete the reporting using one of the methods described above, please email email@example.com for assistance. If you have any questions about the 30% add-on policy, please contact the Department of Human Services (DHS) at DHS.CCAP.Policy@illinois.gov.
