Looking inward is the first step in effectively supporting children’s behavior. Self-awareness helps us understand how we think about ourselves and how we relate to those around us. While our own perceptions matter, it’s equally important to consider how others, especially children. Their experiences shape how they interpret the world and influence their development. This training series will guide participants in recognizing children’s cues, exploring the meaning behind their behaviors, and responding with mindfulness. Together we will explore how compassion, empathy, and self-reflection equips childcare providers and parents with practical tools to support children’s mental health and overall well-being. Challenging behaviors are not problems to fix. They are opportunities for connection. With consistency, kindness, and strong relationships, adults can help children feel understood, supported, and secure.
Please note: This is a three-part series. We encourage you to attend all sessions.
