Training Policies

This training will focus on the ways in which, many times, adults problem solve for children because it’s faster, easier, and can fulill our own desire to be needed. Helping children solve their own problems builds their executive function skills, creativity, and confidence. While it can be more work up front, teaching problem solving is a way to give adults caring for children more agency and creativity with their time. Participants will learn from and discuss non-examples as well as practice effective ways to support children in coming up with their own answers to challenges.
