Domestic Worker Cash Assistance
Do you know someone who works as a Domestic Worker AND were negatively impacted by COVID? Domestic Workers are defined as a person employed in a private residence. Examples include housekeeping/house cleaning, home management, nanny services - including childcare and child monitoring, caregiving, personal care cooking, or companion services. Eligible applicants may apply to receive a one-time payment of $500 from the city of Chicago Resiliency Fund 2.0 – Domestic Workers. Applications are available through ChiCash.org.To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- Reside in Chicago AND
- Be 18 years of age or older AND
- Have a household income level that falls at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level AND
- Be a domestic worker - For the purpose of this opportunity a domestic worker is identified as an individual working in a private home. This includes, cooks, nannies, housekeepers, home health aides, drivers, etc.
