FamilyWorks, powered by YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, offers a Family-Centered Coaching (FCC) approach to working with Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) families. Our aim is to connect families with the right supports, resources and opportunities to foster family wellness and economic growth. Family-Centered Coaching: 

• Recognize parents are the experts at what they need for their families
• Support parent-driven goals
• Build on families’ aspirations, grit, and resilience

Family-Centered Coaching services include:

• Outreach, engagement, and home visiting
• Assistance with lease compliance
• Summer youth employment programs and other youth out-of-school activities
• Elder screenings & check-ins
• Mental health and wellness services
• Help with career planning and preparation
• Computer training
• Help with connecting to local resources and supports
