YWCA Metropolitan Chicago is hosting a virtual 8-week psychoeducational group for teens who have experienced sexual violence. This group will provide an overview of some of the impacts of sexual abuse/assault using a mix of teaching, activities, and discussion/processing.
This group will be a safe, supportive space where you can join other survivors in:
- Defining trauma and its impacts
- Learning coping skills and strategies to help address and stop the cycle of trauma
- Finding connection and support
The group is open to teen survivors of sexual trauma (ages 13-17). If you are interested in attending, contact Isabel Almanza at the phone number or email above. All interested individuals must complete an intake to determine group readiness.
