Reading is not a set of isolated skills that children learn when they go to school. Learning to read is a fluid process that begins at birth. Early language and literacy skills are learned best through everyday moments with children. In this session, participants will:

  • Learn about brain development and how it pertains to language and literacy skills in infants and toddlers
  • Engage in language and literacy activities
  • Gain new activities they can implement in their
    programs
