Big Worries in Little Children: Understanding Anxiety & Strategies to Help @ YWCA Patterson & McDaniel Family Center
Oct 5 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Presenter: Susan Mrazek
Young children sometimes display anxiety about leaving caregivers, changes in routine, making friends, and a variety of other reasons similar to adolescents and adults. As an important adult in a child’s life, it is crucial to understand how we might help children work through these fears. In this training, participants will learn the signs associated with children’s anxiety, ways they can help to lower the level of fear, and how our own worries affect children, too. Dr. Lawrence Cohen’s book, The Opposite of Worry, is used as the main reference for this training.
