Please join us for a “Stress Less” Saturday to learn how to identify stress, how it affects our bodies and what you can do to tame the beast through exercise, sleep, meditation, nutrition and more.
Begin the day with an easy, guided stretch and learn about the importance of self-care from Psychologist and Assistant Professor Rebecca Hunter, PhD with RUSH University Medical Center’s Psychosocial Oncology and Integrative Medicine Department. From there, pick your breakout sessions to learn more about:
- Nutrition and healthy eating from Sprout Scouts
- Mindfulness and meditation from YogaCare
- Exercise from Zumba instructor Adelle White
The morning will conclude with introduction to some basic yoga postures and breathing exercises followed by an energizing meditation.
